2020 Eastern Sisu 22' Pilothouse
2020 Eastern Sisu 22' Pilothouse with PDR Outboard Extension Bracket & Mercury 90HP CT
The 22 Sisu is legendary among Downeast hulls, in continuous production for more than thirty years. Sisu is a Finnish word that means stamina, fortitude, and “guts”. Originally drawn by Royal Lowell in the 1970s, her basic design is arguably the most seaworthy ever for a small powerboat.
Modern composite materials plus a couple of design tweaks have made her even better - recessed chines damp spray and add dynamic lift to her round chines as she accelerates, as well as a performance change to outboard power.
Classic open-sided hardtop pilothouse offers shelter from sun and weather, with optional roll-down sides and mounting space for “rocket launcher” rod holders. The pilothouse covers helm and companion pedestal seats, which are mounted on storage boxes that double as aft-facing lower seats. The rest of the cockpit is very open, and can accommodate an optional full-transom fishbox with a cushioned seat on top, a couple of folding chairs, or an optional portable livewell. The cabin offers 6-foot-9-inch V-berths, with a portable toilet (plumbed for pump-out) and 5-feet-9-inches of headroom.
This boat is configured with a substantial PDR-brand outboard extension bracket, to lengthen the waterline of the boat for improved handling, to further reduce engine noise, and to expand the aft deck with a full/solid transom. Performance is strong and efficient with an 115HP 4-stroke Mercury Command Thrust outboard.
Trailer will be added to package at additional cost.
